Join us for our production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in November

 

Follow in the footsteps of hundreds of young cast members who have taken to the stage with us since 2013 and help us create another award winning production.

 

Please carefully read all the information below about auditioning for us.

 

Registration for auditions closes at 6pm on Wednesday 26th March.

 

Age range

To audition you must be 11 years or older on 1st April 2025 and 25 or under on 16th November 2025 (the date of the final performance.)

 

Production dates at Derby Theatre

Monday 10th November to Sunday 16th November 2025.

 

Audition dates

For 11 – 13 year olds only - Saturday 29th March, 10am – 12 noon:

 

• You do NOT need to prepare anything at all. The audition will consist of a workshop, dance routine and singing.
• Please wear comfortable clothing and bring drinks. The audition will end at noon.

                                                                
For 14 – 25 year olds only - Sunday 30th March:

 

There will be two sessions to choose from: 3pm – 5pm or 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

 

• You need to prepare a musical theatre song of your choice, lasting no longer than two minutes.  
• Please bring backing track or sheet music.
• You will sing in front of the casting team but not in front of any other auditionees.
• There will be a group dance audition and you may be required to act out a short scene from Joseph.
• Please bring dancing shoes if you have them (but don’t worry if you don’t) and drinks.

 

Further information

 

• Auditions will take place at Caroline Green Dance School, 125 London Road, Derby DE1 2QQ
• Recalls for principal parts will take place on Thursday 3rd April at 7.45pm at the above venue where all rehearsals take place.
• The first company rehearsal will take place on Thursday 24th April at 7.45pm. It will end at 10pm. This will be followed on Sunday 27th April with a rehearsal from 2.30pm – 5pm.

Registration for an audition

If, after reading the above, you wish to register for a place at the auditions:

 

• If you are aged between 11 – 13 and wish to come to the audition on Saturday 29th March please fill in the form below and submit it. You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 48 hours with an audition sheet which you need to print off, fill in and bring with you to the audition along with a headshot photo and a non-refundable audition fee of £10.

 

• If you are between the ages of 14 – 25 and wish to come to an audition on Sunday 30th March please fill in the form below and indicate which of the sessions you are able to attend. Please submit the form. You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 48 hours with an audition sheet which you need to print off, fill in and bring with you to the audition along with a headshot photo and a non-refundable audition fee of £10.
