Auditions

 

Your performance journey with DYMT begins with attending an audition!

 

Auditions for The Phantom of the Opera will be in two parts: we will audition for the leads of The Phantom and Christine in January/ February 2024 and for all other roles in March/ April.

 

Full details of the audition schedules will appear here and on our Facebook page in early 2024.

 

If you wish to register to audition, please firstly read our Membership information which includes our age requirements and Terms of Membership.

 

You can then register your interest in auditioning via the form at the bottom of the Membership page, clearly indicating your email address, your full name and your age.

 

We will then send you details of the audition process.

 

Rehearsals

 

Rehearsals run from spring auditions, with a short summer break, up to the performance in November.

 

They normally take place on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons (with possibly some Sunday evening rehearsals), at Caroline Green School of Dance and Theatre Arts, 125 London Road, Derby DE1 2QQ.

We take rehearsals very seriously and all cast members are expected to be on time for the start of any relevant rehearsal - please refer to our Terms of Membership.
